AC Milan winger Samu Castillejo has been specifically requested by new Sampdoria boss Marco Giampaolo as a January addition, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com) report that Giampaolo wants to reunite with Castillejo because he sees him as a quick and technical winger who is capable of adding an extra dimension to a Sampdoria attack that are really struggling to score goals consistently.
Giampaolo obviously knows the Spaniard from his 111-day stint as Milan boss and is a great admirer of his quality, but the problem at the moment is the salary that the ex-Villarreal winger currently receives.
According to the paper, Castillejo himself is very open to the idea of a move Sampdoria because he still has a year and a half of his contract left with the Rossoneri, and the possibility of having a permanent position as a starter entices him. The parties will have to negotiate his salary though, which remains the main hurdle.

I honestly dont get this. Castillejo was one of the weirdest pieces of Giampaolo’s puzzle at Milan. And this guy is hell bent on forcing his wingerless 4-3-1-2. So what does he need Casti for? Does he want him to play striker again, or as a sub for Candreva at CAM?
We need to get him out and buy romain faivre and bring him in next year or now would be crucial. He is a top playmaker and is only 15 million but end of the season he might be 25$ million get him quick Milan before psg
Milan will let Samu go for free as it has been proven a very successful formula for the club. Just look how good the finances look. Oh, wait…
