AC Milan are interested in Gianluca Scamacca’s development at Sassuolo but they are behind their city rivals Inter in the race to sign him, a report claims.
Gianluca Di Marzio spoke to Sky (via MilanNews) about Scamacca’s situation and revealed that Milan are attentive to the 22-year-old’s progress because he is an Italian player with ideal characteristics for the future, one that may or may not be with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
However, the journalist believes that Inter are already ahead in the race to sign the Italy international and have moved ‘well in advance’, even if they are not yet at a stage where they are close to closing a deal.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara know that a young striker will be needed in the summer, so they are evaluating all the different options and Scamacca – who has 9 league goals this season – could very well be the one they go for.
