SM: Milan scouting talented Hellas Verona defender during loan at Reggina – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are monitoring the progress of young Hellas Verona defender Bruno Agustin Amione, we can reveal.

As we have have learned through our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, the Milan management know that they will lose Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer as things stand but they do not seem interested in signing the 34-year-old Francesco Acerbi on a free to replace him.

Milan seem to be oriented towards other profiles such as Sven Botman of Lille, though that does not mean that they are not looking at some other younger and perhaps less established players who could be options for the future.

The Milan scouting department are watching the development of the 20-year-old centre-back Bruno Agustin Amione, who is owned by Hellas Verona but is out on loan to Reggina in Serie B at the moment.

He can also play as a left-back if needed and he was included in The Guardian‘s ‘Next Generation 2019’ while he has also appeared for the Argentine national team at U17 level, showing he is a talent of a certain pedigree.

He moved to Verona from Belgrano in October 2020 for a transfer fee of €1.70m (as per Transfermarkt), and while there is no negotiation yet underway between the Rossoneri and the Gialloblu, scouts have watched him in action for Reggina.

Endowed with excellent speed and concentration, Amione was promoted to being starter by Roberto Stellone – the coach of Reggina – recently, and they have climbed the table with him on the field, obtaining three wins in their last four games.
