AC Milan are one of 14 European clubs who have shown interest in signing striker Julian Alvarez from River Plate, according to one journalist.
Alvarez is beginning to attract a lot of attention after the 2021 season he has had with River Plate, who have won their league. He has 21 goals and 13 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions for the Buenos Aires club, so it is no surprise to hear that clubs are queueing up to sign him.
According to what is being reported by Nicolo Schira, there are over 10 European clubs who are not only interested in Alvarez but have sent their scouts to monitor his progress. Among them are the LaLiga trio Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, while Aston Villa, Norwich City, Tottenham and Newcastle are interested in the Premier League.
Milan and Serie A rivals Fiorentina, Inter and Juventus are also credited with interest in the 21-year-old. Ajax, Shakhtar Donetsk and Bayer Leverkusen are the other teams listed by the journalist.
