Reports claim Milan will seal Kamada signing after UCL qualification with medical scheduled

By Oliver Fisher -

Qualification for the Champions League seems to have sprung AC Milan’s summer window into action early, as Daichi Kamada’s arrival will soon be confirmed.

According to what is being reported by Patrick Berger of Sport1, Kamada is now set to join Milan after the Rossoneri secured their qualification for the Champions League next season with a 1-0 win over Juventus.

The Japan international will sign a five-year deal as a free agent after his contract at Eintracht Frankfurt expires at the end of next month.

Milan have beaten Atlético Madrid in the race to sign the 26-year-old, who also turned down a ‘top proposal’ from Borussia Dortmund too, as it looks like Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have landed their first outfield reinforcement of an important summer.

Fabrizio Romano confirms that there is a verbal agreement in principle between Kamada and Milan, who are ‘optimistic but careful until he signs’. The player himself picked the Rossoneri over other interested clubs and he will undergo a medical in seven days, if all goes to plan.

  1. Good choice kamada, it is time to play outside germany . Bundesliga are just for bayern muenchen . Benvenuto Kamada

  2. Great news! With his characteristic, he’s an extremely ideal Pioli’s no. 10. And that’s interesting. As I can’t see how CdK will still be at Milan and used as a back up on his 2nd season. Unless he’d have another role / position..

  3. This guy is just another Saelemaekers, Messias, CDK type. Absolutely pointless signing. This is actually a downgrade from Diaz.

  4. Haven’t seen him play honestly. Hope he is decent. If he is not a downgrade from diaz. Otherwise we’ll have another deadwood. If he is good am than this will be another maldini master stroke.
