AC Milan’s summer transfer activity has faced a lot of speculation. However, one of the club’s summer acquisitions features in Opta’s ‘Top XI” for the first half of the 2023-24 Serie A season.
There have been a lot of negatives so far in the space of half a season for Milan, with the Rossoneri’s summer recruitment often being mentioned in conversations. Nevertheless, one player who joined the club has made an instant impact, which has earned him a spot in Opta’s best Serie A XI of 2023-24 so far.
Christian Pulisic is a player whose career has found a new lease of life since joining the Diavolo. He has been a difference-maker on several occasions, scoring vital goals when the side most need it. Above all, he has become fundamental to Stefano Pioli’s eleven, and he will only continue to improve, especially given he is likely one of the first names on the team sheet.
The American has the fifth-highest contribution tally in Serie A this season, with 11 (6 goals/5 assists).

Nobody succeeds at Chelsea. Can’t call him injury prone when he was fine at BVB and even when at Chelsea they wouldn’t give him remotely consistent playing time for it to make a difference.
He had injuries at Dortmund. I don’t know if you followed Dortmund at the time but he was injured there too

Injury-prone is someone who has multiple injuries per season and can’t play even 2 months without getting injured. One injury per season is as normal as it gets. It’s a contact sport FFS and one’s bound to get knocks, bruises and ankle-twists and – yes – even more serious injuries each season. The players who have zero injuries per season are the anomaly. Not the ones getting injured once a year.
It makes sense that Inter are leading the table.
Why isn’t Berardi in the XI? 🤔 He has more goal contributions than Puli and Soule( and even Gudmundsson but he’s more a support striker). And they were also points-scoring contributions
