Milan squad back in training at Milanello on Wednesday after three-day break

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan squad will resume training at Milanello today after a break following the defeat against Udinese on Saturday night.

A miserable month of March domestically for Milan has ended as defeats against Fiorentina and Udinese plus a draw against Salernitana at home has left them in a real dogfight to get into the top four, even if progress to the final eight of the Champions League was secured.

As our colleagues at SempreMilan.it report, the Milan players who have not been called up to represent their national teams – and there are as many as 16 of them – will return to Milanello this faternoon after the three days of rest granted to them by Stefano Pioli.

The Rossoneri have opted to remain in Italy to continue their group work rather than head for a retreat anywhere, while news is expected in the coming days regarding Junior Messias who suffered an injury to the hamstring of his right thigh against Tottenham.
