Stefano Pioli has decided to grant the AC Milan squad a day of rest after last night’s game against Napoli, according to a report.
It was a real team effort at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona last night as Milan managed to make their first leg advantage count, doubling the advantage through Olivier Giroud’s goal following Rafael Leao’s amazing solo run.
The team held on for an eventual 2-1 aggregate win even despite Victor Osimhen’s late goal which levelled it on the night but proved to be a consolation given there were seconds remaining on the clock.
According to MilanNews, the squad returned from Naples during the night and thus Pioli gave some rest to his players who will not train today, but will have a day off and will meet tomorrow afternoon at Milanello.
Therefore, the team will be back in at the training complex on Thursday to start preparing for the next league match against Lecce, scheduled for Sunday at 18:00 CEST at San Siro.
All hail the coach ✅✅
