Tuttosport: Milan still hopeful they will land Club Brugge star Jashari – the reasons

The past few days have been rather interesting in the Ardon Jashari sage. Despite everything, though, AC Milan are still hopeful of signing the midfielder.

As you would expect for a player of Jashari’s quality, Milan are not the only suitors attempting to complete a move for the Swissman. However, it is not that simple, for both the selling and buying party.

Jashari, as has been reported several times now, has given his only yes this summer to the Rossoneri. So, everyone else has been given the same answer, no. This to Inter, West Ham United and Nottingham Forest.

Milan are his desire, the only one.

Jashari’s preference

The Diavolo’s offer is the most expensive in the history of the Belgian Pro League, but even then, it is not enough. In fact, Igli Tare must further raise the near €35 million offer to bring Jashari to Milano. Something which the club are not willing to do.

As Tuttosport write, there have been other offers on the table, more lucrative than the one from Milan. Each time, though, there has been a reluctance from the 22-year-old, despite them aligning with Brugge’s price tag.

For this reason, the hope remains. After all, the will of the player is most important, and if he does not integrate into their pre-season plans, it would only boost hopes further.

  1. If we really need this guy, paying more than we can afford (+2m difference) shouldn’t be a big deal at this moment.

It will make a statement to Jashari himself about how far we went to acquire him. But I will agree that the management knows what they’re doing

  2. It’s like you let your girl into dark room with bunch of random dudes and you “hope” no man will do anything with your girl…
This board have no shame, no dignity, no ambitions, no plans

  3. We already told this few times. Just talk to player, if he could cut his wage off just this time. And as a return, we can raise his wage next year. Win-win solution like the famous Toe-Nail saga.

  4. Brugge are haggling over 2 million euros. If the player won’t be happy why not just him go? I’m sure they have invest in some talent right away.

    1. Brugge haggling bc Jashari was the MVP, they thought Jashari is another Reinjders who they believe worths 60M. Or maybe they want to make sure Jashari didn’t get much preparation in preaseason to make sure they get what they are asking for.

      1. The market doesn’t dictate that he’s worth 60 million, or they wouldn’t be demanding 40 million. They’d be demanding 60 million. So you’re off the mark with the comment.

        1. Yeah, but that’s one reason they want more from the Jashari selling rather than De Cuyper. Or option number 2 to unstabilize team work preparation is quite possible too in their mind.

  5. As we saw in the club World Cup, it’s the midfield where matches are won and lost. Get this done or find another top player for Ricci and Modric to play with.

  6. PSGuy were defenseless against the players named Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro. Maybe buying Chelsea in this season won’t be wrong this time.
