AC Milan remain hopeful of completing a deal for Ardon Jashari, despite the comments from Club Brugge’s directors.
With Milan having been made to wait for a response to their latest offer, it seems that Brugge chose to take the public route. CEO Bob Madou spoke to Het Laatste Nieuws and Het Nieuwsblad, and the tone might not be well received.

“We sat down to talk with Milan out of courtesy. And without talking about money (smiling). Everyone knows what Ardon did, but for us, this isn’t the end of a cycle. I’m not saying we won’t make exceptions, but right now there’s no offer on the table that makes me think we should. We’re assuming he’ll stay,” he said.
Director of Football Dévy Rigaux added: “If the time comes when a player is truly at the end of his cycle, and a top club makes a suitable offer, then the transfer can happen. Maxim De Cuyper is a good example. If Jashari stays here for another year, it won’t just be Milan, but several other big clubs that will come forward.”
What happens now?
As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, Club Brugge have made it clear they want to keep Jashari for another season, but at the same time they left the door open, as if to say they will give in if faced with a good offer.
For this reason, Milan and Jashari continue to believe they can have a future together, having already finalised a five-year agreement. At this point, it’s even more of a ‘chess game’. Brugge are asking Milan to raise their offer, and Milan have announced that their second offer is the final one.
It is worth noting that it would be a club-record sale for Brugge and the Belgian league if it were to go through, so Igli Tare’s response to the rather dismissive comments regarding the economic aspect remain to be seen.
Pay this money and sign this player; we all know how transfers look these days, and he has the potential to be a top player soon.
We already have Luka Modric, Ricci and Bondo who all play in the same position as Jashari. So we don’t need him. Milan should sign Javi Guerra instead. He’s a better option than Jashari.

I dont understand why there is an issue. The difference between our last offer and what Brugge is asking in 2,5 million of fixed base. Its peanuts. Either pay 35 million + 5 in bonuses if we believe that Jasari will become our star player or move on to a different target. It makes absolutely no sense to drag negotiations over 2,5 million for club like Milan. It is ridiculous both on sporting and business level. It looks like someones (Furlani ?) pride is driving this nonsense.

Greed is settling in. Milan’s offer is good enough, but, they just want more. The player wants Milan, so, the management should do it for him, and what he will bring. After this, we should have a pause in our dealings with Club Brugge. Toronto did the same with Belotti, and, ended up destroying his career. Milan should do the sensible thing, and cut ties after, for some time. Playing in Serie A is not the same as playing in the Belgian league.
