AC Milan are staring at two fates currently. A year with European football and a year without. In both situations though, they are hardly winning.
After the year that Milan have had, there can be no qualms about getting into Europe via the Coppa Italia. It is, to many, a miracle that the Rossoneri have actually found themselves in a position to challenge for any silverware, let alone a double.
However, here we are. In the past few months, hope has been on the rise again, thanks to Sergio Conceicao’s revival of this team, and even the Champions League cannot be written off just yet, even if it is nearly mathematically impossible.
Until then though, we must focus on the next step ahead, which is currently the Coppa Italia, and Milan News have taken a look at how much the Rossoneri would lose without Champions League football next season.
The Rossoneri can earn up to €17 million for winning the Coppa Italia, though €5 million of that has already been pocketed, just for reaching the final. Additionally, entry to the Supercoppa Italiana could bring another €10m.
Looking beyond this, if the Diavolo are successful in Rome, Milan would earn another €2.6m taking the purse up to around €7m – though this would also mean a ticket to the Europa League. Which the report states is worth a minimum €13m.
From the get go, the Rossoneri will be €27m worse off than they would be had they qualified for the Champions League. A ‘marked difference’ which will seemingly affect the mercato, with the report finishing with a clear statement – ‘lower earnings, lower investments’.
so more than half of Pobega, Adli, Bennacer, Morata sales will give us only give us break even for our managements mistakes…
so whoever we sell from Okafor, Colombo, Chukwueze, Emerson Royal, Teracianno, plus 10-15M is our budget?
We need 1 quality CB (2 if we sell Thiaw and I think we might need to do it this time), CM/CDM, and covers for Leao and Puli (RLC was used as R-CAM by Sergio)
3-4 players for 70-80M… or 100-115M for 4-5 players…
One behaviour of Milan management assured to me they are not into winning titles, nor investment. It’s simply clear going to 3rd class coach will bring you nothing. Look no further, when they didn’t hired Conte. Conte, for example, brings trophies. Trophies brings fame and investments. So. Rest assured Milan will never be workd class club till they let these Americans so called investors leeches go away
Total waste of time management, the fact that we lost Tonali and Kerkez is testament to that.
They have had 2 successful moves out probably 25, the signings of Tiji and Puli, the rest are either fail or the jury is out.
We need to keep Sergio and Felix and give them time, for once just be patient and not have knee jerk reactions and shout revolution, work with what you have just add Ricci, Commuzo and David, if we can, but do not lose sight of Zeroli, Camada and LIBARELLi!!!
Who’s Libarelli?
lower earnings, lower investments WHAT. Como outspend Milan. And where was the BIG investments from the 4 years we qualified to CL?
Sudah saatnya MILAN DI REVOLUSI BESAR-BESARAN. DARI PEMILIK RED BIRD,FURLANI ELLIOT SAMPAI DIREKSINYA MESTI DI JUAL DAN DI GANTI. KALAU MASIH ADA MEREKA,MILAN TIDAK AKAN PERNAH MENJUARAI LIGA CHAMPION DAN PIALA ANTAR DUNIA
Don’t forget, as a club with the highest executive wage bill we gotta pay all these excellent and highly skilled employees too.
And big bonuses coming for the executives this summer with all the in and out transfers. God bless the team revolutions at every mercato. That would not happen if it was Jerry’s money instead of Milan’s. So dysfunctional.
I’d take spending 0 money on transfers and even selling a few stars in exchange for re-starting a serious sporting project.
We need stability, not constant changes in the playing roster. We cannot expect every new player to come in and immediately perform. Most need time to adapt. If we keep on replacing players who did not perform to expectation in their first season with more new players, we will continuosly fail.
For next season, we should focus mainly on adding one good regista (Ricci/Rovella) to complete the starting eleven, retaining our best players (Maignan, Theo, Reijnders, Pulisic, Leao), and continue integrating our youth players (Torriani, Bartesaghi, Zeroli, Liberali, Camarda). Perhaps add a centreback (Coppola) only if Tomori / Thiaw is sold.
Milan needs to sell players. Players are one who fu**Ed up everything
Emerson Royal, Bennacer, Morata, are first one to decrease costs.
Kalulu will increase revenue.
Wasn’t it our sporting department spearheaded by Moncada who got us a bunch of non functional players who don’t fit into any system played in the last 3 seasons?
Guys – i have a brilliant idea which nobody has ever thought of on how milan can earn a lot of money ….. SELLING FURLANI, MONCADA AND IBRA FOR A DISCOUNTED TOTAL PRICE OF €50 MILLION ….. THEY ARE A BRILLIANT TRIO, VERY SUCCESSFUL, VERY CLEVER, TAKE VERY QUICK DECISIONS, HAVE TURNED MILAN INTO A FIRST CLASS TEAM, VERY SHARP INSIGHT WHEN BUYING NEW PLAYERS, VERY CAREFUL IN THEIR PLANNING …..
Sure there will be a mad crush to prise them away from milan ….. but then we must be prepared to make a very small sacrifice.
One way to balance the books quickly and adopt to Europa Leauge is to sell a alot of players that are stand-ins/loan outs and promote younger players to that backup role. You dont need more then a 22 man first squad + 4 youth players from the futoro team
I really cant see Zeroli being worse then Musah in the double pivot, or Liberali much worse then Chuckwueze as one of two offensive midfielders in a 3-4-2-1.
So you sell alot of deadweight, like 11-12 players, and buy 3-4 italians that count as domestic players for squad purposes.
Sell or release (no new contract):
Emerson, Florenzi, Terracciano, Musah, Loftus-Cheek, Pobega, Saelesmaekers, Chuckwueze, Okafor, Felix, Abraham, Colombo
Buy:
Comuzzo, Parisi, Ricci, Orsolini
Then a 22 man squad + 3-4 primavera players would be enough:
22 man Senior squad for 3-4-2-1 (one in each position):
Maignan
Sportiello
Jimenez
Walker
Tomori
Thiaw
Comuzzo (new)
Gabbia
Pavlovic
Bartesaghi
Hernandez
Parisi (new)
Reijnders
Ricci (new)
Bondo
Fofana
Leao
Pulisic
Sottil
Orsolini (new)
Jimenez
Jovic
Then Torriani, Zeroli, Liberali, Camarda as youth players that can be added freely to the squad if injuries/suspensions, and that play in the futoro when they dont play in the first iteam.
Affordable and stronger squad then this year that is build for 3-4-2-1
treba amerikance OBJESIT I JAVNO SPALIT !!
You can also do it like this: lower earnings, lower investments and consistently lower earnings. In order to earn more in the future, you have to invest more. Do you really think the owners will let their capital go to waste? Well, they will not invest when their earnings are guaranteed, but like this. Don’t write nonsense. Greetings.
Lies and to the supporters don’t let the club lie to us. Milan’s financials have been good for 3 years now they can afford a season without UCL. No major player should be sold for “needed funds” or new transfers and if they do sell we need to accept that Milan is Italys Tottenham
