MN: Milan’s controlling win vs. Salternitana an important tactical and physical preparation to face Liverpool

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan managed to get a second straight win and a second straight clean sheet as they beat Salernitana at San Siro this afternoon.

MilanNews writes how the game went pretty much how any Milan fan would have hoped for as the Rossoneri got a very quick goal to overcome any kind of notion that they would be fighting against strong resistance for a large period. That allowed them to control the rhythms of the match and ensure some rest for key players.

The win was achieved with two objectives in mind: to recover first place in the table while awaiting Napoli’s game against Atalanta, and to prepare – technically, tactically, physically and mentally – for the match against Liverpool when they will have a chance of reaching the Champions League knockouts.

The team will need to be more clinical in front of goal if they are to beat Jurgen Klopp’s side who in turn will offer more tests for the defensive department, but being able to manage the conditions of certain players was very much important.

  1. Forget about the Champion this season, let the team focus on winning Scudeto 🏆🏆
Hope Pellegri will soon be physically fit for striking after his recovery and Kjaer too for his great role at CB

  2. I think Milan must go to the market in January for Central Back and Striker who also can play as right winger. Hopefully Calabria, Rebic and Giroud are recovered soon. Another area need to strengthen is left back, a better player than Ballo-Toure.

  3. Milan need to strengthen a good striker and versatile defender. If you do not want to receive disastrous consequences like the past seasons.
