MN: Imposing physique, fast and good in the air – Milan add Spurs defender to list of targets

By Oliver Fisher -

Spurs defender Japhet Manzambi Tanganga has been added to AC Milan’s list of potential defensive targets and the management like his profile, according to a report.

MilanNews have done an analysis of Tanganga, who was born in the London Borough of Hackney and is 22 years of age. His football career began with the Spurs academy and he made his debut back in September 2019 in an EFL Cup match against Colchester United, with Mauricio Pochettino giving him a run out. He has now made 41 appearances for the London club across all competitions.

Looking at his attributes, Tanganga is a player with a great physique standing at 184cm tall, plus he fast and good in the air. He can also be used as a right-back but centre-back is what he prefers, and since Antonio Conte took over he has struggled for game time, so Tottenham could decide to send him on loan until the end of the season.

The report adds that Milan have made an enquiry with Spurs about Tanganga, whose contract with them expires in 2025 under which he earns around €1.5m net per season, uet feeling is that the England U21 international is not the first name on the list and rather an opportunity for the last few days of the market.
