Radio Radio: Milan target gives word to AS Roma director as possible Zaniolo replacement

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan target Houssem Aouar has given his word to AS Roma general manager Tiago Pinto that he will join the club and replace Nicolo Zaniolo, a report claims.

As has been reported by Radio Radio (via Milan News), the midfielder from Lyon who has been heavily linked with Milan in recent months could be set to join the Giallorossi instead.

It is also reported that Aouar has also carried out the first part of his medical exams in a move that has flown under the radar in Serie A.

The one obstacle for the move is that Lyon may not let him leave the club in January, whilst Zaniolo seems destined to leave Roma this month.

Aouar’s contract expires in June 2023 which means he can leave on a free transfer, If Roma are willing to pay a fee, or if Milan are willing to pay a fee and can convince the player to join them, then a January move can still happen.

  1. I bet he will do great in Roma. Then we can read bi-weekly reports on this site how M&M once again missed the chance of getting him. Which reminds me… There hasn’t been any Enzo Fernandez articles this week. How about fixing that? 😉

    1. Even if he comes, Pioli will deem him unready. I think Pioli has problems with integrating new signings into the squad. It’s quite understandable seeing as results are all that count but I wonder why we get linked to u-21 players of other teams worth up to €30m as though we don’t have youngsters whom we can build so that other teams can also place such high bids on them too.

  2. A big NO to Zaniolo.

    Always injured. Poor attitude. Expensive.

Milan should stay FAR FAR away from Zaniolo. What is Maldini doing?
