Repubblica: Milan targeting €30m+ Udinese star and have a plan to beat competition

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking at potential reinforcements for the summer transfer window all ready and Lazar Samardzic remains a target, a report claims.

Milan were heavily linked with a move for Samardzic when he was at Hertha Berlin and it became apparently that he would leave them in a cut-price deal, but he moved to RB Leipzig and ended up at Udinese after failing to make an impression there.

According to La Repubblica (via SempreMilan.it), Milan’s admiration never went away and the management are targeting Samardzic for next season, as are current Serie A leaders Napoli too.

However, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will also have to beat the fierce competition from the Premier League, and their plan to do that is to make an attempt before the summer with the Friuli.

In turn, Udinese will try to obtain a large sum from the sale of their 20-year-old jewel, with an asking price of €30m already set for a player with six goal contributions (four goals, two assists) in 21 league games this season.

    1. stop judging players so quickly, after half a season at Madrid Modric was declared their worst ever signing and look how that turned out. The guy has hardly played and never had continuity yet and is part of a team in crisis, sometimes it takes time to adapt, try and remember that.

      1. Leao was horrible first year, Tonali, Modrić, Messi at PSG and so on. You have to be an idiot to flame a kid after he moved to a different country at 21 and needs to adapt to everything, from food to language and tactics.

  1. So let me get this straight. Milan wasted 10m on Adli and 35m on CDK for AM and now we are looking at a Lazar Samardzic from Udinese who is worth 30m?

This management is comical. I think Udogie and Beto would be a smarter signing.

    1. Same management won a title for you ungratefull ignorant building a team out of scraps with so many financial problems from the past…if u dont have nothing good to say, stfu

    2. We should get Beto and get rid of the geriatric members of the attack. Ibrahimović should probably become a coach if he gets injured again. Everton offered 10M for Giroud from what I wrote, that money should have been taken, added another 10 and bought Beto for the next 10ish years. But we are paying Giroud more wages hahahahahaa

        1. Z, are you joking? They offere 7million pounds to buy him at the end of loan, not his salary. 😀 You do understand they wanted to sign him right away to battle relegation, not on a free transfer at the end of season. I mean you can check before claiming the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard, Giroud got offered 10M per season. 😂😂😂😂😂

        2. “According to the Times [1 February], the proposal was worth £7million for a permanent transfer should the Toffees avoid relegation this season.”
