CM: Milan expected to follow Gabbia’s renewal with two more announcements – the detail

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are closing in on being able to follow up the announcement of Matteo Gabbia’s renewal with that of a midfielder, according to a report.

Via a statement on the club’s official website, they confirmed that Gabbia has extended his deal beyond the previous deadline of 2024 and is now under contract until 2026. It is another proud moment for the 22-year-old, who joined the Rossoneri at the age of 13 and made his first team debut back in August 2017.

According to Calciomercato.com, the management are continuing to work on other contracts they want to extend after getting Gabbia, Calabria, Kjaer and Saelemaekers over the line in recent months, and Bennacer could be next.

A general agreement has been found regarding the renewal of the Algerian’s deal as follows: he would extend until 2026 from the current 2024 deadline, with a salary of around €3m net per year.

Meanwhile, Theo Hernandez’s extension is all sorted too as the full-back will also sign until 2026 with an option for another season, with a €4m salary. As soon as the player’s agent is in Italy, the bureaucratic part will also be sorted out.
