Milan to push ahead with deal for Ajax midfielder as Rangnick’s approval arrives – report

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to make their move for Ajax starlet Ryan Gravenberch after Ralf Rangnick approved his potential arrival, according to a report.

It was reported by newspaper Voetbal International on Thursday that Milan and Roma are two of the clubs interested in the youngster, especially now as Dutch teams are struggling financially.

Ajax are working hard to lock down the promising players at the club and Gravenberch, whose contract will expire in 2021, is one of their priorities. The latest offer sent to him, however, was rejected by Raiola.

Now, the latest update from Spanish outlet Todofichajes.net claims that Raiola and Ajax have failed to find an agreement for a renewal and the Rossoneri are ready to take advantage of the situation.

The 18-year-old has a contract expiring at the end of next season and the report claims he is a player that prospective new manager Ralf Rangnick likes a lot. He has even apparently placed the purchase of the Dutch midfielder among the priorities.

According to Transfermarkt, Gravenberch has four goals and one assists in 14 senior appearances for Ajax’s senior side across all competitions.
