CorSera: Milan management planning to give Tonali a deserved reward this summer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are eager to reward Sandro Tonali for the exceptional season he is having and have a pay rise in mind for him, a report claims.

Tonali arrived from Brescia on an initial loan deal in the summer of 2020 and it was made into a permanent one last year. His performances have certainly become more consistent and he is having a decisive hand in the push towards a 19th league title.

The 22-year-old scored the winner during the 2-1 victory against Lazio a couple of weeks back and then scored a brace on his birthday on Sunday, overhauling a deficit against Hellas Verona at the Bentegodi.

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) recall how Tonali gave up a lot of salary last summer to complete his move to Milan, cutting the amount from €1.8m to €1.2m net per season. But after such a season, Milan are ready to reward him with a more than deserved pay rise.
