Milan will travel to Dubai tonight for Arsenal and Liverpool friendlies – the squad

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will fly to Dubai this evening and two exciting friendlies await in the Dubai Super Cup, with the Rossoneri taking on Arsenal and Liverpool. Stefano Pioli will be able to rely on a strong squad for the two games.

Milan will, in addition to the friendlies, continue their preparations for the resumption of Serie A with a training camp. Dubai was chosen not just because of the friendlies, but also because of the warm weather which is beneficial.

A total of seven Milan players have featured in the World Cup and that means the squad for the Dubai trip will be slightly decimated. However, as reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport, Simon Kjaer will join the team on Thursday. Charles De Ketelaere will be there already on Tuesday.

Sergino Dest, meanwhile, will return to Milanello immediately after suffering from a few minor struggles at the World Cup. The rest of the World Cup men will not join the team in Dubai: Fode Ballo-Toure, Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud.

The squad will be as follows, excluding the inclusion of some Primavera players (who for sure will be included):

Goalkeepers: Maignan, Tatarusanu, Mirante.

Defenders: Calabria, Florenzi*, Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori, Gabbia, Kjaer (from the 15th).

Midfielders: Bennacer, Tonali, Krunic, Pobega, Vranckx, Saelemaekers, Adli, Diaz, De Ketelaere (from the 13th).

Forwards: Messias, Rebic, Origi, Lazetic, Ibrahimovic*.

*Will not feature in any of the games.
