CorSport: Milan have two names in mind should Hernandez leave the club

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have got two names in mind for if Theo Hernandez leaves the club in the summer with interest in his services growing around Europe, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato.it), the Rossoneri are beginning to plan for the eventuality that French defender Hernandez will not be at the club.

Whilst specific teams have not been mentioned, it is believed that some Premier League teams want to sign him and Milan would be willing to sell him for the right fee.

Paolo Maldini is keeping a close eye on two players, Fabiano Parisi at Empoli and Alejandro Grimaldo at Benfica.

The former is being watched by Napoli and Lazio very closely which means there is not a clear track to him, but Grimaldo is out of contract in the summer.

He could be the more financially viable option out of the two but both are achievable deals.

  1. Here they come once again saying that Milan wants to sell Theo and are already looking for the replecemant total bs the report!
1º Theo is super happy with is family at Milan and super happy with is life in AC Milan.
2ºWhy would AC Milan sell the left back in world.
3ºAC Milan are looking for a deputy for Theo and Parisi and Grimaldo are two names that Milan think can be good deputys for Theo!

    1. “2ºWhy would AC Milan sell the left back in world.”

Because of money. If someone pays +100M€ for him Milan would (and perhaps should too) consider selling. Everyone is replaceable. Although I’d prefer him staying for the next 5-7 years.

  2. And so it begins….Theo, Leao, Mike, Kalulu, To Ali, etc…all will eventually leave. Can’t blame them when another team can play double or triple what we can. TY Resbird/Elliot for your fantastic wage cap. Beauty

    1. Lol. And so it continues, Juro with his tirades against the ownership. All top players eventually leave Serie A because, yes, eventually all Italian clubs get outbid by the Premier League, Madrid or PSG. Money doesn’t grow on trees and no owners operate their clubs at a loss (unless you’re Juventus and then you cook the books or make under the table contracts). End of story.

      1. Juro the Kid would rather see the club go bankrupt after splashing out insane amounts on player wages and get more FFP sanctions/fines than support the club getting its finances finally in order and start from the clean table.

  3. Clearly you dont care about good news Juro from the four you mention only Leao has not renew is contract for example Theo before renewing is contract psg offered like triple the money AC Milan was offering in is renewal talks so shut up Juro!

  4. He has contract till 2026….though he is very happy and opted to extend with milan because of young family but after that unfortunate incident…its been on card he is planning to move over…..so it might not be this summer but next summer he might move….its fair enough the good thing theory always gives his all….

    1. Well… It’s not like players stay in one club forever anymore. Everyone in the current team will leave – eventually. What we can hope for is either a) the player stays long enough for us to get trophies and/or b) someone pays good money for him so we can get a proper replacement AND fix another position too at the same time.

  5. So rumor came out that Milan is close to resigning Leao and giving him 7+ mil a year and right away, rumor comes out that Theo might leave.
Theo has a good smart agent. Starts putting pressure on Milan right away. If you can pay Leao 7+ mil, you better show Theo the same money because he has been more important for Milan than Leao. You can’t have Leao making almost double than Theo.
They came in the same transfer window.
Theo a full back, playing in defense, has 23 goals and 28 assists so far in all competitions for Milan.
Leao , a forward, playing in the attack, has 36 goals and 31 assists so far in all competitions for Milan.
Not a lot of difference considering one is a defender and the other attacker.
And Theo actually doesn’t need Leao to play good, because he has played and produced without Leao on the field, Leao has not proven that he can produce without the benefit of having Theo on the field with him.
    Go get your money, Theo.

    1. “Theo a full back, playing in defense, has 23 goals and 28 assists so far in all competitions for Milan.
Leao , a forward, playing in the attack, has 36 goals and 31 assists so far in all competitions for Milan.”

Wow. Had to check the stats myself. Just.. Wow! So basically our LB is about as efficient as our LW but in addition to the goal contribution does well in defense and works his ass off every match. MVP… LOL.

  6. Maignan and Theo are more important than Leao. Not even close. Never sell Theo, he can become a symbol here. Leao never will, no grinta.

  7. It’s always hard to tell who reads what. I’m a recent poster here but if you’ve read my posts you’ll know I am all for signing young Italian talent. I’m the opposite of the Serie A fan that is savagely impatient with Italian players.

But Parisi is seriously average. I’ve watched him closely 3 times now and he’s a poor defender both in terms of the control of the left flasnk/positiong and also his 1v1 work. Most recently Zappacosta took him apart.

As I understand things, Parisi is regarded as a good dribbler and for his attacking play. His dribbling is pretty good but he’s not quick, he is about the same as Calabria. His use of the ball is nothing special.

I can’t say I’ve seen Bozzolan play but if he is being seriously considered as an option, by definition he almost has to be as good as Parisi.

      1. If Parisi had Theo’s speed an power, then sure. But he doesn’t.

I’d think of it as signing Calabria for his attacking play.

  8. We cannot forcing player to stay. They will not play with full heart if you forcing them to stay. If EPL club come with offer more than cucurella price then why not accept that offer? I believe paolo maldini are the expert signing LB ,CB so he will easy find theo replacement
