MN: Milan perform U-turn on January plans for Adli – the reason

By Oliver Fisher -

Another report has emerged suggesting that AC Milan will not allow Yacine Adli to leave in the January transfer window despite previous suggestions to the conrary.

MilanNews recall that Adli has only four official appearances this season so far and only one start which came against Hellas Verona, which had led to speculation that he would be loaned out for the second part of the season.

After a good pre-season, the French attacking midfielder seemed destined to find more playing time than he has actually amassed, but Charles De Ketelaere and Brahim Diaz have kept the former Bordeaux man down the pecking order.

Milan seemed destined to let him leave in January, though things seem to have changed. Considering that Milan are unlikely to strengthen their frontline in January, the ‘new signings’ must come from the current squad and Adli – given the limited chances in the first part of the season – has every intention of demonstrating that he can be useful.

  1. I don’t like players who love the money more than the team. But I don’t like the team managers who have no respect for the player’s self esteem.
