Tuttosport: Milan unconvinced by Chelsea midfielder and could pull plug on loan

AC Milan have not been impressed with Tiemoue Bakayoko since securing his return last summer and his loan could be ended early, a report claims.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report that Bakayoko was signed by Milan on a two-year loan last summer but his future with the Rossoneri is in doubt. The French midfielder has so far not met expectations and for this reason it is not excluded that the management may try to end his loan early.

Bakayoko has now not played a single minute in the last nine games and while part of that is due to a muscle injury, the majority of those games were ones in which Pioli left him out by choice.

Fabrizio Romano claimed on Twitter in August that the deal that saw Bakayoko return to Milan from Chelsea is a two-year loan with an option to buy set at €15m. He also extended contract with the Blues until June 2024 to facilitate the deal, given that his previous contract was set to expire in June 2022.
