AC Milan threw away a two goal lead against Roma on Sunday, which forces reflections on how the season is going as a whole.
This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sera (via MilanNews) writes that at Milanello yesterday when training resumed, the faces of the players were still gloomy after letting a two goal lead slip against the Giallorossi.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, as always alongside the team, tried to cheer up because they know an instant reaction is needed. However, the paper writes that it is undeniable that there are problems and that some things are not working.
This starts with the summer market as the players who arrived in the last transfer window are not making the desired contribution, with Origi, Adli, Vranckx, Dest, Thiaw and above all Charles De Ketelaere struggling.
Added to this is the enormous problem of too many injuries affecting the Milan players and so Stefano Pioli finds himself with no alternatives. Olivier Giroud for example continues to work overtime.
It is not an easy moment to navigate, but Milan have already demonstrated several times in the past that they know how to manage and above all react to the most complicated moments.
