CorSport: Milan unwilling to satisfy Kessie’s €8.5m demands – Barcelona, PSG and others keen

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are getting ready to say goodbye to Franck Kessie as they have decided not to give in to the requests of his agent, a report claims.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that the distance between the Milan management and Kessie’s agent George Atangana is basically now unbridgeable, because the request to renew is €8.5m net per season.

The Rossoneri have made an offer but it is below that amount, even if it would mean that the Ivorian more than doubles his current salary of €2.2m per year. The bid put on the table by Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara is one they believe to be fair and fitting, but Atangana is pushing for more and is evaluating proposals from abroad.

At the moment, Barcelona are the club that is exerting the greatest pressure to secure Kessie on a free transfer and the Catalans hope to snatch his signing before the end of the season, because they know that PSG and some Premier League clubs are keen.
