Mundo Deportivo: Milan still in Vitor Roque race as Barcelona inform of FFP issues

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain in the running to sign Vitor Roque even though the player has prioritised a move to Barcelona, according to a report.

Mundo Deportivo (via Calciomercato.com) report that Vitor Roque only wants Barcelona and the Catalan side want the forward. A meeting has taken place between the father of the Athetico Paranaense star and the Blaugrana management, represented by the directors Mateu Alemany and Jordi Crujiff.

However, during this meeting Barca made it clear that they have Financial Fair Play difficulties which could complicate the operation. The player will keep pushing for the Blaugrana despite the attempts of PSG, Arsenal, Chelsea, Milan and Inter.

The president of Paranaense must approve to the terms of any operation but a loan formula that foresees the postponement of the €40m asking price means it would go up, as per the source. Barca continue to work on satisfying all parties, with an eye on their finances.

    1. Sadly he is going to be too expensive.
This guy will be a superstar striker, and is worth every penny of that.
But every transfer is a risk, and even if we can cough up 40M, we definitely can’t afford to bet all that money on one player “for the future”
