Milos Kerkez left the AC Milan set-up before he was at the level he is now, and the Rossoneri are watching with regret as he continues to be linked to more elite clubs.

Since leaving Milan in 2022, the left-back has been on an upward path and after impressing with AZ Alkmaar, Bournemouth took the gamble on him, one that has paid off significantly. Just a year after joining it seems he could be on the move once again.

Impressing regularly, he has taken the interest of Liverpool and Manchester United in recent weeks, whilst other Premier League clubs also lurk in the background, according to Sky Germany (via Milan News). Despite having a contract until 2028, both clubs would be able to pay the fee that the Cherries are asking for – believed to be more than €35m.

All of this comes at a time when Milan are desperately looking for a Theo Hernandez deputy and perhaps had the Hungarian remained at the club, he would have been the heir to the Frenchman when it was his time to depart.

Of course, hypothetical, but it would not be a surprise if there was a feeling of What if at Milanello, even if it was just for the financial aspect.

  1. Well they prefer Balo Toure over him. On the bright side the Americans made capital gain since they sold a youth player, that’s all that matters lol.
PS. They constantly push our youngsters out just to replace them with some DEI hire.

    1. facts, the only reason they have any italians in the squad is for squad composition, all they think of are foreign players, they want nothing to do with home grown talent, i bet all they are thinking of is getting camarda to sign a long term contract so they can ship him out when he is 20

      1. That is a very cynical reply, though please note that I am not saying completely unfounded. There is great Italian talent in the Milan Futuro squad, they just aren’t ready yet, as seen in the Serie C Table. Players like Pellegri and Colombo move for an opportunity at lesser clubs to gain time on the pitch that they would not have gotten at Milan. Not a RedBird thing.

  2. He really wanted to leave and pushed hard for his own exit ircc. Can’t blame the dude though as I’m not sure he’d have developed with Theo hogging the minutes and playing in the wasteland called the Primavera. Even if Theo shaved a few hundred minutes it might not have been enough for his development given that he (kerkez) clearly wanted and envisioned himself to be a starter.

  3. Milan and many top clubs in Italy just don’t place the trust in youth due to pressure to win. So what you get is this. The likes of Simic, Kerkez, Maldini leaving.

  4. He wanted to leave because he was unhappy being a bench player. He could join any top team, but he still isn’t better than Theo. As long as Theo remains in this team, it will be challenging to find a good LB willing to accept a bench role, especially a young and promising one.

  5. We play lots of games, no reason he couldn’t have had plenty of time. Perhaps even a loan spell.
He left because we signed Ballo Toure. Another in a long line of wasted talent
