Milan without crucial midfielder for Spurs game as he is ‘not 100% yet’

AC Milan have been dealt an injury blow as it has been confirmed that midfielder Ismael Bennacer will not play a part tomorrow against Spurs.

It was reported yesterday that Bennacer and Fikayo Tomori are both expected to be back in time for Milan’s clash against Tottenham tomorrow night. Tomori sustained an injury against Lazio and has since been working individually at Milanello, while Bennacer suffered an injury in training just after he served a suspension in the league.

Both players trained with the rest of the squad yesterday but today there was some concern when Bennacer did not come out to join his team-mates and instead did individual work.

Now, it has been confirmed by Pioli in his pre-match press conference that the Algerian will not be available for the match against Antonio Conte’s side because the staff do not want to risk him.

“He’s not 100% yet, we can’t risk it, so he won’t be there tomorrow,” he said.

  1. No! They shot themselves in the foot. No serious club will go into it a new season with so many games without provision for unforeseen circumstances

  2. 10 – 20 years ago milan midfielder play with pain medication. Never 100% fit but they now how milan DNA must exist. No one bigger than the club.
