AC Milan were hoping to head into their first game of 2023 with near enough a clean bill of health, but in actual fact the treatment room is once again nearly full.
Milan left for their winter training camp in Dubai with the objective of fully recovering several injured players and ensuring the squad is in good shape heading into the new year, and yet the problems just keep racking up.
MilanNews report that ahead of Milan’s game against Salernitana to get the second part of the season underway, there are nine absent players who have not made the trip to the Stadio Arechi.
The list includes Mike Maignan, Simon Kjaer, Ballo-Touré, Alessandro Florenzi, Junior Messias, Rade Krunic, Divock Origi, Ante Rebic and Zlatan Ibahimovic.
Also absent is the new signing Devis Vasquez, who returned to South America to deal with the last bureaucratic procedures after signing his three-year deal.
Nothing new… the story of our lives
Yet Milan management does not consider it necessary to add to the squad, namely RW, AM, and possibly ST. This is annoying.
You can’t add players without money. Pioli needs to be braver and give more chances to the Primavera players.
