AC Milan will face off against Inter on Tuesday night without one of their key performers in Sandro Tonali and his absence will be felt, a report claims.
As this morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports, one of the protagonists will be missing from the derby for the Rossoneri as Tonali will miss the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Inter due to disqualification.
The midfielder will return for the second leg, but will leave a gap in the middle of the pitch. that Stefano Pioli has to try and cover up, because the importance of Tonali for Pioli’s team cannot be understated.
Even in a bad game like the one against Udinese on Friday evening, Sandro was one of the best on the pitch, providing the assist for the goal that Rafael Leao scored to make it 1-0 before the break. Without him, Pioli will rely on Bennacer and Kessie.
