By Euan Burns -

AC Milan Women made it three Serie A Femminile victories in a row as they beat Sampdoria 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Rossonere have been enduring a tough season but they have now beaten Sassuolo, Parma and Sampdoria in their last three league fixtures.

Maurizio Ganz’s side took the lead after just five minutes when Malgorzata Mesjasz managed to score at the far post following a corner from Marta Mascarello.

Not too long before the halftime whistle, Kosovare Asllani continued her positive impact on the team by scoring a penalty that was won by Valentina Bergamaschi.

It was an uneventful second half in Milan with the team knowing that they had the points secured against a Sampdoria team that are in freefall. After a strong start to the season, they are at serious risk of being relegated.

A late goal was added in the 88th minute by Bergamaschi.

Milan move level on points with Fiorentina in fourth who are yet to play this weekend.
