AC Milan made it two wins in a row as they calmly beat Parma 2-0 on Sunday afternoon to move closer to Fiorentina in Serie A Femminile.
Maurizio Ganz’s side are looking to have a much better second half of the season and will be aiming to get closer to the Champions League places, or at least ensure they are in the top half before the table splits in two.
Martina Piemonte put the Rossonere ahead in Milan when she turned in a cross from Sara Thrige Andersen just before half time.
Just before the hour mark, Ganz’s side were able to gain full control of the game. Gudny Arnadottir hit a shot from range which took a wicked deflection, meaning Alessia Cappelletti was not able to keep it out.
Parma could not muster a response and with La Viola losing 7-1 against AS Roma on Saturday, Milan are now just three points behind the Tuscan side who are in fourth.
