AC Milan are continuing dialogue with the entourage of two key players over the extensions of their contracts, according to our information.
There is no doubting the importance that Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer have in Stefano Pioli’s plans as both are among the immovable starters for big games and each has developed into being among the best in their position, but their contracts expire in June 2024.

According to the information of our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, the Milan management have made it clear they are willing to offer €6m net per season to renew Leao, which is not enough however for the entourage of the player who nevertheless reiterated to Milan the willingness to renew.
On the other hand, the negotiations over extending Bennacer are of a different nature. Maldini wants to raise his current salary to about €3.5m net including bonuses but there are various Premier clubs interested in the Algerian and they ready to table offers worth €4m fixed per year, so further talks will be needed.
Why Bennacer contract so complicated? Just give him 4M then done, and about Leao just sell him or same mistakes repeated again
I think we should 100% keep Bennacer and we should 100% sell Leao. He isn’t that good in Europe, easily pocket by James for example. Also he doesn’t play consistently class games for 3 games straight. You can hate now but we should sell him for 100M and buy a good striker, right winger and buy Sassuolo’s left winger, the French guy for Leao
We must keep both… these are players that are not easily replaceable, we will bitterly regret it if we sell them..
I know selling Leao would bring 100+ million but we would lose great left winger! Since Ronaldinho time I haven’t seen such a good and fun player, like Leao is, to watch. WHo cares if we win 10 scudettos with boring players and wins 1:0, like Juventus in 90’s or 2010’s. What’s important is that we win having fun and playing great!!! And Leao is totally capable of bringing that joy to fans in Italy and aound the world! Also, I am pretty much sure Leao wouldn’t do great in England or Spain. And who cares about French or German leagues anyway…
