AC Milan were unable to make it five league wins in a row as they fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat away against Torino on Sunday night.
The damage was done in the first half by the home team at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino as Koffi Djidji glanced a header from a free-kick in off the far post to put them 1-0 up and then less than two minutes later Aleksei Miranchuk pounced on a loose ball to fire past Ciprian Tatarusanu via a deflection.
The defeat not only ended the Serie A winning run at four games, but it also saw Milan’s Europe-wide record come crashing to an end too.
Milan lost a Serie A away game after 17 away matches without a single defeat (with 12 being wins and five of them being draws), stopping the longest run in the ‘top five’ European Leagues without a defeat on the road.
