The international break is currently in full swing and AC Milan won’t be back in action until next Saturday, when they will take on Inter. It’s the first of seven games in just 22 days, making for a very hectic schedule.
Milan have started the season in tremendous fashion with three wins in three games, topping the table along with Inter. The derby will thus be a very special game, with both sides looking to paint the city with their colours.
As mentioned, the Rossoneri’s schedule after the international break will be very hectic (see photo below). Seven games will take place in just 22 days as there will be two Champions League clashes and one mid-week Serie A round.
Stefano Pioli will have to make the most of his squad, in other words, and most would say that the depth has improved significantly compared to last season. However, we will only know for sure after this run of games.
FIGC should be once in a century reasonable and take some action on this matter. The situation is absolutely absurd. It gonna provoke injuries. It just can’t be real this schedule.
And we’re coming into these period with a number of injuries and that number seems to be increasing. At least we have a proper-ish bench this season. Expect to see rotation against Verona, Cagliari and Genoa.
I wish Milan 2 draw and 6 wins. Amen
