MN: Milos Kerkez to complete permanent move to AZ Alkmaar – medical scheduled

By Oliver Fisher -

Some surprising news has emerged this morning as Primavera defender Milos Kerkez is joining AZ Alkmaar on a permanent deal, according to a report.

Kerkez arrived at Milan during the 2021 winter transfer market from ETO FC Győr and after it sounded as though he was adapting more and more to Italian football. He trained as part of the senior squad at Milanello over the summer and Stefano Pioli evaluated him in the various friendlies that the Rossoneri played.

His dynamic performance against Pro Sesto in preseason – during which he got forward more than Theo did in the first half down the left side – was rewarded two goals, leading to suggestions that he isn’t actually far away from the first team.

However, according to the latest from Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, Kerkez will complete an outright transfer to AZ Alkmaar with a deal between the two clubs having been found. His medical examinations with the Dutch club are already scheduled, and therefore the teenager’s short spell at Milan will come to an end.

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri will make a nice capital gain as they will receive €2m from his sale.

      1. But he could get loads playtime even as a backup, Theo cannot play 40 games a season. And we could offload FBT

It must be something else if the club gets rid of him like that

Maybe Milan is too expensive even with his salary haha

        1. I still don’t think it was Milan who wants to get rid off Kerkez considering it was Maldini himself who phoned and convinced him to join Milan and not Juve. Maldini did the same with Theo and we got one of the best LB since Maldini retired.

Sometimes these young players are impatient with their careers. But who knows…

        2. Yet at AZ he won’t be playing either, not this season at least. We expect our leftback (Dutch national player Wijndal) will leave AZ for a bigger club this summer, but that is not a done deal. We are as surprised as you guys are, but your reactions seem to imply that he’s a top talented player. I will look forward to see him on the pitch.

          Grazie mille, Milan!

    1. How come some people still ignorant af?

      1) Pioli isn’t the one who buy or sell players. That’s the management job, not coach.

      2) Pioli gave chances to many young players. Theo, Leao, Kalulu, Saelemaekers, Tonali, Colombo, Daniel Maldini, Diaz, etc. So how come you can say he didn’t give chance to young players? Did you even watched Milan? 🤦‍♂️

      1. theo, leao, diaz, tonali are well paid players and you can’t watch them like ‘young players’ ,they were bought to play in 1st team because we don’t have better players, that’s nonsense what u are talking about, kalulu get chances only when there is no alternative, and even though we all see that he is better than romagonli he will always be at bench when romagnoli and tomori are ready, salemakers was bought to play first team aswell ,who was his competion? samu castilejo? only maldini got chance that he didn’t deserve in the way of his performances, colombo left because they bring waashed up kid pelegri from other team, and i didn’t say that he buy or sell players,i was talking about giving Kerkez some chance to play before Balo Toure, can u even read properly?

  1. OUT MANAGEMENT ARE VERY USELESS ALLOWING YOUNG PLAYERS LEAVING IN THE NAME OF BUILDING WHAT ARE BUILDING USELESS

  2. I thought this guy was our future. I don’t get why we don’t give him 10 games before tge seasons out. It’s clear we’re not fighting for anything and get 10-15 mil for him if that’s our objective. Milan. Consistent at getting sh*t outward deals. How can teams like Brighton buy a 1 million pound defender who a year later is worth 40 mil. Our name should be counting for something. If Milan pay for you it’s because you’re sh*thot not some nobody.

  3. I just want to believe that something more is involved in this whole situation he can’t complain of anything for now compared to where he came from to join Milan

  4. Milan should add the €2million to €6million they put down for Thiaw of Shalke 04 to make it €8million maybe they can accept and get the player.

  5. Last seasons was JPH, today was Kerkez, next time …. ???
I prefer to have him as Theo backup rather than FBT. Pioli was not the one signing or selling players but his the one making choice for the first team. They loaned pobega out just to make a room for bakayoko… the coach is developed the team and making the young player to grow like Barcelona with Gavi , Ansu Fati, Or nico Gonzales

  6. Wasn’t this kid supposed to be Theo’s heir apparent?? Now we sell him for a measly 2M? LOL. WTF is going on here….horrible

  7. Does anyone else here still think Maldini and Massara have their heads in the right place? Where are the Elliot-defenders? How was this kid worse than Ballo-Toure? How was Pobega worse than Bakayoko? Lots are decisions are pretty much unexplainable at this point, absolutely beyond belief. We definitely don’t know what’s happening behind closed doors, but as fans, we’ve recently been made to swallow too much bitter pills, and this isn’t funny.
