ML: Maldini looking to sign Real Madrid star on a free – competition from Man City and Juve

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are among the clubs tempted to throw their hat into the ring for Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to a report.

MilanLive – citing rumours in Spain – claim that Isco does not want to renew his contract with Los Blancos, which is set to expire in June 2022. Several European clubs are after the Spanish playmaker and are sniffing a cut-price deal or possibly even a free transfer next year.

Milan have already been linked with a move for Isco by sources such as Calciomercato.it, and with relations between the Madrid management and the Rossoneri being excellent – as demonstrated by the Theo Herndandez and Brahim Diaz negotiations – they good start on the right foot.

The report adds that the LaLiga giants last summer had thought of offering Isco to get to Ismael Benncer, or for a sensational return of Theo Hernandez. The negotiations did not take off.

In terms of competition for Isco there is Sevilla, Manchester City, Juventus, Napoli and Everton all keen, but Sevilla will probably not be able to offer the player the €6million net per season he currently receives at Real Madrid.

The article ends by saying that the Maldini-Massara duo will try to bring yet another great champion at zero cost to Milanello.
