ML: Man Utd join Liverpool in race for Milan star – potential €55m offer ready

Christian Pulisic is attracting interest from teams in the Premier League given his form for AC Milan, and Manchester United are the latest team to be linked.

Pulisic’s start to the season has been outstanding, with five goals in his first eight games plus two assists, scoring in the derby and against Liverpool a few days before, which earned him links with Arne Slot’s side.

MilanLive report that the USA international is also on the radar of Manchester United as they continue to try and overhaul their squad under INEOS. Not only that, but they would be willing to pay around €55m for the former Chelsea man, who cost the Rossoneri €20m one year ago.

The intention for Milan would be to keep him, but given the magnitude of the potential offer and the precedents such as the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United, it might be easier said than done.

Pulisic scored 26 goals in 145 games with Chelsea after bagging 19 goals in 127 matches with Borussia Dortmund. Even with his national team – of which he became captain – he has found the net 31 times in 73 matches, while for Milan he continues to be one of the most reliable performers in front of goal.

    1. I agree to some extent, but it will all depend on his replacement. Overall, Pulisic is a big asset for Milan in the American market, which Gerry sees as the financial key to making this team competitive again. It’s because Gerry is leveraging all of his relationships within American networks, sports teams, and media to grow the fanbase. Pulisic, Musah, and any top American talent will always be linked with Milan. Kind of sad that they missed out on that kid who went to Man City.

      1. He’s not just a bog asset for the American Market. He’s the best and most consistent player Milan have and it’s not even close

          1. If you think Barcelona will Sell Yamal at all, let alone for 55M you’re insane. Selling star players to replace them and pray it works out is why we’re in the situation we’re in. Sell Leao, the most inconsistent player we have. Don’t sell the rock of our team.

          2. You can say it’s all hypothetical, but actually Milan management’s profit-seeking behavior and Milan’s difficulty in signing world class talent speaks for itself. It doesn’t really matter how much they could get for him – they won’t be able to replace him with a world class player of equivalence.

          3. Art – if you read my comment, I never said they will sign world class talent or stated they have. I am simply saying, if they sell Pulisic and sign a better player, we will be happy lol

  1. 1. I bet puli doesn’t even want to go back to the prem.
    2. The board is American. Thus they probably don’t want to sell him
    3. If they sell him we’re officially the dumbest club itw

    1. Agreed with all points except no.3 every player has a price. The estimated €55mn is too cheap, given his form and his international marketing

But Man U in particular, of all EPL clubs have known to overspend (€80mn+ for Maguire, similar for Antony) so maybe we could get something extraordinary for Captain America.

In any case I think it’s clear the board want Americans in the squad for FifA WC2026 the commercial opportunities are immense, so it would take an absolutely crazy amount to prize our most in form attacker away.

  2. Puli isn’t made for the PL, like many other players. Nothing wrong with that. PL is hardly the indicator of success.

The sooner he realizes that the better for his career and for Milan.

    1. “Puli isn’t made for the PL” ..

This is correct, and I think Pulisic understands this also. And besides his skills he is a cash-cow w the American market, and a terrific teammate. Milan needs to reward him and keep him.

    2. Mo Salah wasn’t made for Premier league when he came to Serie A. But he returned and became one of the greatest Premier league ever had.
