ML: Milan decide to try and keep Real Madrid playmaker – €25m price tag one of two hurdles

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made the decision to open talks with Real Madrid over the possibility of keeping Brahim Diaz beyond his loan spell, a report claims.

Against Torino we saw the best version of Brahim Diaz as the playmaker did a fantastic job between the lines, notching an assist for Rafael Leao’s opener and winning the penalty that ended up making it 2-0.

According to MilanLive, the management believe that Brahim Diaz has great quality and will continue to grow, and that is why Milan would like to continue to bet on him. Milan will meet with Real Madrid to negotiate his permanent transfer, though there are two things needed for things to go smoothly.

The first is €25million to meet the asking price of the LaLiga giants, but above all the approval of the player will also be required, and the 21-year-old is not yet very inclined to leave Los Blancos permanently.

Without an agreement, the Rossoneri will be called to look elsewhere to look for a substitute that is worthy.
