MN: Agreement in place with Barcelona over Todibo but Milan have six competitors

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face plenty of competition in the race to land Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo, a report claims, amid speculation an agreement between the two sides has been reached.

It was claimed by La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier on Tuesday that Barcelona have given the go-ahead for the 20-year-old to complete his move to the San Siro on the basis of a loan with a option to buy set at €20m.

Mundo Deportivo however – as cited by BeSoccer – there is in fact no agreement between Milan and Barcelona for the player, as per sources inside the Catalan club.

According to the latest from MilanNews.it’s Pietro Mazzara, we are entering decisive days in the negotiation and it will soon become clear whether Milan can secure their second signing of the winter.

The Rossoneri have a general agreement with Barcelona on the basis of a loan with the possibility of negotiating the purchase of the player in the summer.

Barca for their part are happy to let the Frenchman move to Milan and play in Serie A, but there are a number of proposals – all on loan – from other clubs.

Watford, Monaco, Nice, Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke 04 have asked for him, while Benfica are also keen. An important factor will be the ability to play continuously. The player’s decision is expected in the next few days.
