AC Milan and agent Beppe Riso discussed Atalanta midfielder Matteo Pessina during a meeting on Monday, a report claims.
Riso was spotted leaving Casa Milan during the afternoon, and MilanNews are claiming that Pessina was indeed the topic of conversation.
He is of course a former player of the Rossoneri youth sector who was sold to Atalanta as part of the deal which saw Andrea Conti come the other way.
The player is currently on loan at Hellas Verona but is owned by La Dea still, however it has been well documented that Milan have a 50% resale clause and therefore could sign him for half the price of any potential competitors.
Pessina often lined up alongside Scaligeri in two attacking midfielders deployed by Hellas coach Ivan Juric in his 3-4-2-1 system, and it is anticipated that he could come in as a rotation open to allow Hakan Calhanoglu to rest.
Pessina suffered a nasty looking knee injury against Genoa in the final game of the season, but ligament damage has been ruled out. Now, it is up to Milan whether to make a serious attempt to bring him back after three valuable years away.
