MN: Attacking duo will be back at Pioli’s disposal after the international break

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the derby, which will take place tonight, Stefano Pioli has been able to welcome back Alessandro Florenzi and Ante Rebic. It’s the final game before the international break, with a few more returns expected after that.

According to MilanNews, the recovery of Junior Messias and Samu Castillejo has been a bit slower. It has resulted in Alexis Saelemaekers playing many games from start on the right, now in desperate need of some competition and rest.

Fortunately, the duo should be back after the break and that will be yet another boost for Pioli, who has been forced to deal with many injuries this season. In spite of this, they have started very well and tonight’s game will be another important opportunity.

With a win, they would move ten points clear of Inter, which says a lot about how well they have started the season. But then again, it won’t be an easy clash.

  1. Pls sign Faivre. Messiahs had a golden opportunity to show his true worth and he came in out of shape then got hurt. Mandzukic all over again. We need a starter that can guarantee us some goals and that can stay healthy. Sales makers cannot play every game and is limited when he does. Best off bench. Decline options on Messias andPellegri and instead use that $$ for Faivre in January.
