MN: Bakayoko, Soumare and Aurier – the latest as Milan close in on another signing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still working on a deal for Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and are hoping to unlock the situation shortly, according to a report.

MilanNews are reporting that on Thursday there were further contacts with Chelsea for Bakayoko, and the overall feeling is positive as the outlet states that the deal may be unlocked shortly.

Lille’s 21-year-old enforcer Boubakary Soumaré is a more expensive and unlikely alternative at this stage, and it has been suggested that there is strong competition to land him.

On the full-back front, Spurs for the time being will not consider a loan spell for Serge Aurier. The Rossoneri have been linked with the Ivorian repeatedly over the past few weeks, but for the moment MilanNews claim that the track is cold.

Milan are also studying a move for a new deputy to Gianluigi Donnarumma after Pepe Reina’s exit, and it is possible that a move could be made soon.
