MN: Cardinale and the Singers to be at San Siro for derby against Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

The derby against Inter tomorrow will be attended by some special guests including the new owner of AC Milan, a report claims.

A statement on the club’s official website confirmed that RedBird are the new owners of the club, completing the takeover from fellow American fund Elliott Management in a deal that is worth €1.2bn and sees Gerry Cardinale become the face of the club moving forward.

According to a report from MilanNews, Gerry Cardinale – founder of RedBird who completed their takeover of Milan earlier this week – will be present in the San Siro stands tomorrow evening for the derby against Inter.

Along with the new owner of Milan, there will also be Paul and Gordon Singer, number one and number two of the Elliott Management fund who were of course the owners before selling to the fellow American fund.

It should certainly be an entertaining spectacle between the two Milanese side with over 75,000 fans expected at the stadium and over 150 countries connected for the match via various television feeds.
