MN: Cardinale now expected to be present at derby between Milan and Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

Gerry Cardinale is now expected to be present at the derby between AC Milan and Inter on Monday night at San Siro, according to a report.

MilanNews reports that after his appearance during the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals against Roma last Thursday, a trip that served to touch based with the management, Cardinale should be there on Monday to.

Last week allowed the Milan owner to begin planning for the future which included meetings in tje city with Giorgio Furlani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Cardinale could be back in the Lombardy capital on Monday, which would be a further important sign.

Cardinale’s first ever appearance at San Siro dates back to a derby match on 3 September 2022, when the newly crowned champions Milan managed to beat Inter 3-2 thanks to a brace from Rafael Leao and a goal from Olivier Giroud.

Will there be more to the appearance than that? There are now many reports circulating suggesting that Stefano Pioli will leave Milan at the end of the season.

Fabrizio Romano for example claims that the decision has been made and the Rossoneri coach will be sacked once the season has been completed, despite having a contract expiring on 30 June 2025.

  1. Sensational stories! Didn’t he attend the ass-whooping that Roma gave us? What is going to be different now? What value does his presence add? Pioli is going to be trembling in his shoes? Nah, I think not. That era is gone. Whipping up sentiment now ain’t no use. its a long way down. Pioli is going to have his bum handed over to him.

I miss Berlusconi & Galliani, with his golden tie with black polka dots, the days of the condor! With them, you don’t lose 5 derbies scandalously and be talking calmly – they would show you the door!. before you take a 6th hit.

I remember when Mou whipped us like 6 or 7. I think Leonardo was coach then playing a gung-ho, all attacking, score-one-more-goal-than-your-opponent style. We came 2nd – he was still fired. I thought Pioli would have been fired after the 5 goal drubbing or at the end of that season.

I would be very surprised if Milan get a draw, even more surprised and relieved if we win.
