AC Milan could be aided in their pursuit of Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa by the winger’s desire to leave the club, according to a report.
The Rossoneri have had a busy summer so far to say the market has almost three weeks still to run, with a new deal secured for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the permanent arrival of Ante Rebic also confirmed plus the signings of Brahim Diaz, Sandro Tonali and Ciprian Tatarusanu.
However, Chiesa is a name that continues to be linked as a potential dream signing to fully complete the squad for the season ahead.
In the latest MilanNews editorial from Andrea Longini, there will be a meeting between Chiesa and Rocco Commisso next week during which the Italy international will ask the Fiorentina president to facilitate his exit.
The Rebic deal could then become even more complex, as La Viola are owed 50% of the transfer fee Eintracht receive, but until now there is no suggestion of how much that amount is.
The report adds that the fee paid for Rebic could be a ‘condition precedent’ – i.e. the amount can change if certain conditions are met, so like if Milan buy Milenkovic and/or Chiesa.
In all this it is essential to sell Paqueta in order to generate new funds to invest.
