MN: Chukwueze decides on AC Milan shirt number – photo

Samuel Chukwueze’s move to AC Milan should be made official in the next day given that he is currently undergoing his medical, and he has chosen his shirt number already.

MilanNews report that Chukwueze arrived in Italy today for the usual medical and fitness checks before he will sign his contract at Casa Milan, and he has chosen the No.21 shirt.

The right winger arrives from Villarreal on a permanent deal with a €20m fixed amount plus €8m in bonuses, plus a five-year contract worth €4m net per season.

  1. If adli leaves, leao could switch to 7 (he recently said he likes 7), pulisic 10 and chuk can go with 11. I think it suits everyone nicely 😁😁😁. Idk if it is still possible because the current jerseys has already been sold 😆

    1. that wouldnt really be cool towards those who already bought the shirts even though those shirts might have a higher resale value in a couple of years 😀

      1. hasn’t it happened in the past ? I even think there are some cases of switching number mid-season. Some clubs are even giving occupied numbers to new signings. I just personally think those numbers would suit them better. Maybe it would happen !

        1. It has happened that big name signings has demanded certain shirt numbers but less than a month into july it would be a kick to the stomach to those who just recently bought a shirt. I agree though that either leao or chukwueze the nr 7 shirt would seem to have fitted better on either of those two as adli seems like a fringe player possible on his way out of the club then in his case i wouldnt see a huge issue in replacing that number but i think leao tried to show respect towards his team mate by not chosing it to begin with.

  2. With the addition of Chucky both 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 will look good.

    3. That’s not how a 4-3-3 looks like. Those are both 4-2-3-1.
      As some of us suggested in here, Reijnders confirmed Krunic will be the deep-lying midfielder, while himself will play on the left side as a mezzala, leaving RLC on the right as mezzala. Bennacer will replace Krunic once he returns.
      Pulisic will probably rotate with Leao and Chuck on both wings.

      2. LOL true, those are both 4-2-3-1 with the same lineup as well. What is he on about?

        We are still lacking a decent DM, an enforcer, a fighter, a gladiator. Of all the players linked, only Dominguez suits the profile.

        If I am allowed to dream, would love to see Singo joining, and also a proper starting ST. However there aren’t many availabe in the market and within our budget.

        Maybe we could rather have a fluid front 3 of Chuk, Okafor, and Rafa. Okafor, though not as strong and as good as Giroud aerially, he is 185 and could still physically improve. He is fast and mobile so those 3 could really wreak havoc switching positions. Looking at Leao, he has started to gain muscle and he’s 188 tall.

        In the end I am all excited about next season.

        This is my take on our 4-3-3 :

        Maignan
        SINGO – Thiaw – Tomori – Theo
        Ruben – DOMINGUEZ – Reijnders
        Chuk – Okafor – Rafa

        Strong GK, physical and fast defense (hope Tomori regain form), balanced midfield in terms of solidity, strength and creativity, and also an attack with all having speed, technique and eye for goals.

  12. as ironic as it is, the truth is the Italian National Team hasn’t been good enough in general.

    Dollarumma went to PSG for money, we sold Tonali, loaned Gabbia out since he didn’t develop well and I think it would be naive to keep Calabria only because he is Italian, long serving, and academy player.

    It’s not that he’s awful but I don’t see him improving much. He’s not even a starting RB at National Team.

    Now, tell me 1 solid Italian player that we could sign and make it to our starting 11.

    Before I was thinking Retegui but he’s in fact Argentinian and has signed for Genoa.

    I also could hardly find our academy players that excel out there, they’re doing so-so at most. Locatelli, Cristante, De Sciglio, Elsha, Petagna, Auba
