MN: Confirmations arrive regarding Milan’s interest in talented River Plate forward

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made an enquiry over River Plate striker Julian Alvarez whose contract situation has intrigued a lot of clubs, a report claims.

MilanNews writes that the Rossoneri are among several clubs that are monitoring the 20-year-old Alvarez, whose deal expires on 31 December 2022 and has a €25m release clause inserted as part of it. The Rossoneri have not yet started official contacts with Los Millonarios, but they have followed the forward for a long time.

The main club that have undertaken official talks with River Plate are Aston Villa, but it cannot be excluded that Milan will enter the scene for a player who is regarded as a fantastic talent and was also in the Argentina squad that won the last Copa America against Brazil.

It comes after TyC Sports (via Marca) reported that Álvarez’s agent is in talks with several European teams who are expressing interest, and that he could meet with Milan soon.

    1. What Berardi and Insigne ?? LOL
You want to pay those players, because Milan can’t afford it
Milan can only bring players on loan

      1. Sorry to say but it is all smoke
ACM can not afford these players otherwise they would have already done the deals

Loan deals mean Maldini and co are hoping for 12 months of breathing space in hope of financial gain to jag something when going fishing

  1. Why can’t Milan just sign Insigne and Barardi . How much are their salaries that almighty Elliot can’t afford to even raise their worth in the market. I think we should rather target those players that are already developed to offer you consistency and also guarantees you more money in performances.
