MN: Donnarumma’s options narrow further as PSG renew Navas and Juventus need a sale

By Oliver Fisher -

Recent developments mean that the signs are beginning to point towards Gianluigi Donnarumma renewing with AC Milan, a report claims.

With around 70 days until Donnarumma’s contract expires thus making him free to sign a contract with any club he chooses, the saga is beginning to dominate the media headlines as Milan are running the serious risk of losing a star player on a free transfer.

As Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews writes on Twitter, Milan’s latest official offer was submitted weeks ago and is a deal that would run until 2026 – therefore a five-year extension – at €8m net per year, so €40m net in total or €80m gross.

In terms of the other potential suitors for Donnarumma, the options are beginning to fade fast as Paris Saint-Germain have renewed their No.1 Keylor Navas until 2024. Juventus have to sell Szczesny to make that kind of investment in the goalkeeper role, while offers from other clubs have not come forward because they are likely already sorted in that position.
