MN: Exit rumours fuelled as Milan defender is out of squad for Real Madrid friendly by choice

By Oliver Fisher -

Rumours that Andrea Conti’s days at Milan are numbered have been fuelled as he has been left out of the squad for tonight’s friendly.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Conti is not present in the squad list for tonight’s game against Real Madrid in Austria and the right-back has not been called up by technical choice and not due to an injury or any other circumstance, which is obviously a strong indicator he doesn’t have much of a future at the club.

Having returned from a disappointing loan at Parma, he is no longer able to convince the Rossoneri management who want to offload him this summer, but the fact he earns €2m net per season until 2022 is one hurdle, as is his €4.8m residual value on the balance sheet which means at least €5m would be needed to sell to avoid a loss, in theory.
