As part of the new stadium project that AC Milan have launched, they plan to make the experience for the average match-going fan a lot more pleasant.
As was confirmed yesterday, Milan have taken an important formal step by presenting to the Council of San Donato Milanese a proposal for an Urban Planning Variation for the area called ‘San Francesco’.
Calcio e Finanza published a report earlier today outlining the reasons for choosing the San Donato area, the costs of the project and more details about the plans for the surrounding area.
MilanNews have now relayed some details of the new Milan stadium regarding the stands themselves and the experience that the fans will have.
Firstly, the capacity will be 70,000 seats and the depth of the rows will go from 800-1200mm after being 700-800mm at San Siro, meaning there will be more legroom. Moreover, there will be wider seats with a backrest (480-600mm).
The concourse will have a wide range of food and drink stalls, and there will be toilets in all sectors rather than the current situation at San Siro which is far from ideal.
There will be disabled accessibility throughout the stadium, plus special areas for families. Fans will be closer to the pitch to give maximum support to the team.
LED strips and giant screens will adorn the surroundings, plus panoramic views towards the square and the city. There will also be an entertainment District to socialise before and after the match and everything is active the year.
The “Entertainment District” is going to be interesting. Can’t wait until the Ultras interact with that.
More importantly, toilets or holes in the ground?
Holes in the floor (at inter stadium). 💩
🤣🤣🤣
When I visited San Siro I was absolutely shocked by the lack of facilities. I thought I was at the home of a 5th tier club.
